Employee Spotlight: Meet Son Le

Son Lee larger

At ϲʹ, we celebrate our people, our cultures, and we recognize the value of diversity and inclusion. In May, we’ll focus on Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month while shining a light on one employee at a time.  Today’s Q&A is with Son Le, Call Center Manager, Engineering, Science, and Technology.

How did you come to join ϲʹ?

I was looking to join an organization to further grow my career in leadership and work in a role that was impactful not only to those around me but to the public.

What is your professional and personal background?

I have over 15 years of leadership experience in education, telecommunications, and retail industries.

Describe the work you do and how you think it makes a positive impact.

I’m the Tier 2 Task Lead for our TSA POMS contract in Colorado. I help guide and direct our team of analysts that provide case management and customer service to TSA’s applicants. I believe the work my team does positively impacts the nation’s security as well as how the public views the customer service that is provided by the TSA.

What are some of your accomplishments and/or what has been your proudest career moment?

My proudest moments as a people leader have always been the moments that I was able to help my direct reports further their career growth. As an example, prior to joining ϲʹ, I helped pave the way for two of my direct reports to be promoted to Manager from their Supervisor roles.

What do you enjoy about working for ϲʹ?

In my short time with ϲʹ, I’ve been impressed with the overall leadership in my area of work and the support that is provided.

What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about people and helping to see them be the best versions of themselves.

What’s your career advice?

Leave your bags at the door. Learn how to have the right work-life balance.

What does safety mean to you or do you have a favorite safety tip?

Specifically for my line of work, safety to me means that everyone should be able to express their opinions without being worried or even afraid of the consequences.

What’s the best invention in the world and why?

I think the internet is the best invention in the world. It gives us access to information that we would have never had before and helps to connect people across the globe.

Anything else you would like to share from a personal or professional perspective?

I am a Tampa, FL transplant that’s lived in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado now for almost a decade and loving every moment of it.

Considering this monthly observance, tell us more about yourself.

I don’t read too much but the last thing I read with my wife was ‘The Five Love Languages’. I find the book fascinating and the lessons taught are applicable to our personal and professional lives. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve read that was written by Brene Brown. I don’t have a specific film that I favor over others, but my favorite genres are Action and Thrillers. I love all types of music and make it a point to have music on, when possible, especially on weekend mornings with my 8-year-old daughter for our dance parties.
